About Niecey's Photography

My name is Denise, and I have been in love with photography since I was just a little girl. I always enjoyed capturing anything and everything that I could. From vacations to animals. As I got older, I realized that having special moments captured on film allows you to go back to the good old days. After losing many friends and family in my life, being able to see pictures of them and everything we have done, brings joy and happiness to my life. I wanted to start Niecey's Photography so I can give those feelings to others. I want to be able to capture those happy moments so you can share them with your loved ones because every picture has a story!

I grew up in a little Michigan town called Armada! It is such a beautiful town, and it has grown so much over the years. Being in a small town everyone knew each other! The agriculture, the excitement of the fair, and all of its little community events brought everyone together! The area is beautiful which makes for a perfect background in any photo. I loved capturing those memories with friends which is where my photography journey began. I took a little break to pursue a career in medical and while I loved what I did, it didn't make me happy. After my senior year in high school, my family moved out of our beautiful town where I studied to be an EMT and Medical Assistant at Macomb Community College. While during school I gave birth to my oldest son! I graduated in 2015 from MCC and just started working. I met my hubby later that fall and welcomed our son the following year. Fast forward to 2020 when we decided to move up north during the pandemic. The country life up there is beyond beautiful and provided silence in a positive way. It allowed me to really stop and think about what I wanted to do in my life. That is when I decided to start my own business in photography. During that time, I did not really know where to start besides creating business cards. I passed them around but with no knowledge of what I was actually doing. In 2022, I got married and lost my mom a short month after. My business was put on hold. After the passing of my mother, we decided to move back downstate with my father, and I went back to work in medical. It wasn't until I really stopped to look around that my passion wasn't medical. Yes, it was guaranteed income, but I was so unhappy. I decided it was time to reopen my business. With the help of a fellow photographer and lifelong childhood friend, she has guided me to the correct path to get things rolling. Since then, I have started booking more gigs and my clients have been spreading my cards to their family and friends. I hope to continue to work with my clients and be able to gain new friendships!!
